Final detail meeting with the Hilton Netherland Plaza

You know when you're the best in town there is a reason and the Hilton never disappoints!  I just came back from the best "tie-down" meeting with their catering director, the captain for the event, the person in charge of set and mom, and dad, and bride and groom.  It was a full house but what a productive meeting.  I will every venue in town did it this way.  We all reviewed the banquet event order, which in- cludes the menu, the bar and the timing for the event.  We then reviewed my time line to make sure that dinner and all the special events that are planned to happen, do happen in a timely fashion.  It's all about "flow" and we are all on the same page.  We know what the bride expects to happen and we can deliver.  It can be the tiniest things like bringing desserts to a specific table with senior guests so that if they they choose not to go to the dessert bar they do not have too.  How nice is that...the MOB came up with that one.  Anyway, I always leave there so confident and feeling like such a part of an amazing team.  My bride and her groom, and family are going to have the very best time!  Can't wait!

Sharing Tips and Trends for Wedding Industry

 Had a great ABC (assoc. of bridal consultants) meeting today at the lovely Galt House in Louisville KY.  We enjoyed a lovely meal and conversation.  We shared some of our latest and greatest ideas, tips, trends with one another.  I found a wonderful new linen company and a saw great ideas for place cards.  I learned in detail about fireworks for weddings.  I saw a cool new idea for wedding videos too.  Can you imagine   It's something to watch a group of wedding professionals talk and share and support one another like that.  We actually had a great time.  We're friends!  How cool is that.  And imagine the support if any of us get in a jam.  We got a deep pool of wedding professionals ready and waiting to help.  Can't place a dollar value on that!  Thanks to all who attended today and to those who took the time to volunteer to make it happen.
